Truck driver has daylight sighting on country road near Marys Home
The main witness was driving a feed truck north on Highway 17 when he rounded a curve and saw a tall dark figure standing in the roadway ahead. The figure was looking away from the road, and after the driver briefly looked away it had disappeared. The driver's relative later met him at the location and found matted grass near a fence and agitated cattle but no clear footprints.

The main witness was driving alone on a small two-lane road in the late afternoon to run an errand. A tall, hairy creature with long arms crossed the road in front of his vehicle without stopping and entered the woods. He described it as having different shades of hair, an ape-shaped face, and a large but almost limping stride. He did not stop because the road was on a steep downgrade with a sharp curve and no shoulder.

Two men walking through very dense brush heard a loud roar-like sound ending in a high-pitched shriek. They then smelled a very strong foul odor and heard unseen brush movement, followed by a second, closer howl. Both men fled through the brush and exited about half a mile from where they entered. The account was relayed to the reporter by a relative of one participant, who said the participant remained frightened of that woods afterward.

The witness was driving to work on a county road when he noticed a large dark figure in an empty hayfield. On approaching closer, the figure looked human-shaped, very tall, and covered in black hair. The creature noticed the vehicle and moved quickly toward cover at a nearby creek. The witness later returned to the site with a relative to look for traces but found nothing.

The next morning her son found long reddish-brown hair on a barbed-wire fence where the sounds had been.
