A family experienced repeated nighttime visits over a two-year period from large upright creatures around their home. The creatures stole stored meat, produced a strong odor, vocalized from nearby hills, and attempted to enter the house. The father confronted and shot at one, and family members later fired from the porch toward vocalizations on the hill.

An older man said he was bear hunting from a tree stand a few miles from the cemetery. He heard footsteps and breaking limbs approach, then breathing and grunting directly below and around the tree but saw nothing. He stayed in the stand overnight in fear and ran to his truck at first light, quitting hunting there.

A school friend later told the witness about riding bicycles with others over a mountain toward town at night. The group saw a very large figure drop about seven feet from a roadside stone wall, land on one foot and spring off the same foot across the road into the woods. The friend wondered how any person could move that way without gear in the dark.
