The figure left on two feet and headed toward the lake after appearing to notice it was observed. The father hurried out and said nothing until he was miles away, then advised returning only with a larger-caliber rifle.

Years later a relative reported waking in the same cabin and seeing a large yellow hairy creature looking through a doorway before it left quickly.

A neighbor who kept goats arrived home in the evening to see several small bipeds leaving her barn for the woods carrying four goats, with the larger one holding one under each arm. She later asked the witness family for help. A chained bear trap set on a concreted post was later ripped out of the ground and reported to police.
