A radio caller reported seeing a white hairy biped while walking on the same shoreline trail in the late nineties. The guest heard the call years later and took it as confirmation of his own family encounter in the same place.

A hunting guide walking quickly ahead of his hunter to retrieve a truck encountered a tall figure standing ahead on the trail. When spoken to, it turned, backed into trees, and watched him as he gave it a wide berth. He radioed the others to keep moving, later told the witness in camp, and downplayed it to the hunter as a bear.
