Two coworkers driving to work encountered an upright wolf-like creature standing beside the road. It watched them as they nearly stopped beside it, then crossed behind them and ran up a steep bank. The witness later visited the site and found tracks showing it scaled a high dirt bank in two leaps.

The car slid near it and it looked in at the passenger, who felt it was intensely evil. The driver then sped away. The investigator later found smashed grass and clawed toe-ball prints high on the opposite bank and estimated nine feet.

A driver stopped to help two motorists whose car had left the road after swerving to avoid a large hairy creature chasing a deer across the road. While fetching a rope from his truck to pull their car out, he walked directly into the creature standing behind his truck. He noted a foul smell, red eyes, and a low growl before it walked to the woods edge and then into the woods. He then helped move the car and continued his trip, shaken by the encounter.

About two and a half hours after the porch sighting, the mother drove home on the muddy road and saw a large upright figure standing by the road in her headlights. She fled at speed to the house shouting she had seen something huge. The area was described as adjacent to the largest forest tract on Cape Cod near an Army training base.

In the late 1970s to early 1980s, residents around the Big Muddy River reported a foul-smelling, hairy hominid-like creature. Witnesses described seeing and hearing it near the river and finding footprints, with size and color accounts varying. The creature pulled a cypress stump from the mud, threw it into the river, then turned to look at them and walked briskly away along the riverbank. A farm worker on a night irrigation check saw a large round shape balled on the ground that stood up to about eight feet with hair all over and a man-like face. He struggled to free his truck from wet field while it walked toward him, then drove out dragging wire. He refused to check irrigation again and still avoids going out after dark.

The witness was driving to work on a county road when he noticed a large dark figure in an empty hayfield. On approaching closer, the figure looked human-shaped, very tall, and covered in black hair. The creature noticed the vehicle and moved quickly toward cover at a nearby creek. The witness later returned to the site with a relative to look for traces but found nothing.

The writer's brother was driving alone late at night on Skyball Mountain when he smelled a strong odor. He saw a large dark hair-covered figure in tall weeds beside the road that stepped onto the road and stared at him while he stopped and watched for a minute or more. The figure then walked into the woods on the other side of the road and he drove home.

Two boys walked from their houses into nearby woods toward a creekbed to shoot BB guns while footsteps seemed to parallel them and close to nearby. At the bottom of the creekbed they looked toward the sounds and saw a roughly seven-foot-tall hair-covered figure whose face they could not discern. Both fled home in fear and said the figure did not follow them.

The guest's grandmother told him that when returning home with four children in the mid-1970s, she saw a thin disc hovering silently over a bush in the front yard. It was motionless and made no noise. She grabbed the baby and hurried inside.

The horse kicked free, jumped the corral, and fled while the rancher shot at the creature. Next day the horse showed hand-like pressure marks, not claw scratches, on its hindquarters.
