Nighttime sighting by motorist on I-84, west of Multnomah Falls
Two motorists driving westbound on the freeway at night reported a very tall, thin, hair-covered biped crossing in front of their car toward the river. They narrowly missed striking it and lost sight of it at the guardrail. They then called a relative by cell phone to report what had happened.
Sasquatch sighting near Silverton, Oregon (1955)
The witness was driving with his girlfriend to a high school dance when a dark hairy biped emerged from a grass field and walked diagonally into the road in front of the car. The driver slowed and swerved around it while it turned to look at them twice, showing no fear or expression, then left the road into a field. The couple fled shaken, and the passenger refused to discuss it afterward.
Sasquatch sighting near Estacada, Oregon
The friend reportedly was walking home after being dropped off by the bus when he saw three upright figures cross the road. He described a large squatch with two smaller ones striding across near a logging road intersection. The guest relayed the story secondhand and admitted he was skeptical at the time.
