Mountain driver encounters creature crossing road near Oroville
A driver coasting downhill around a corner encountered a hair-covered biped crossing the road ahead in daylight. The creature first walked and then ran very fast, leaping into roadside brush without looking toward the driver. The observation lasted from about 100 feet down to about 40 feet.

Two border patrol agents in Southern California almost hit a huge wolf-like animal that then stood and looked at them. On a night follow-up on foot near Otay Mountain they encountered it with red glowing eyes like light bulbs. The junior partner quit the next day.
