New owners of an abandoned property began hearing screams nightly and having trash bags taken from the porch and sorted in a bush by color and type. The female resident reported dark hairy figures throwing twigs, candy bait disappearing from rat traps, and large grass impressions. The guest saw the trackway and droppings and set a camcorder that allegedly captured the theft before his notes and tapes were stolen in a break-in.

A neighbor who raised alpacas found one animal dead one morning with its head twisted, a leg badly broken and signs of disembowelment. The guest saw photos of the carcass. He later interpreted the injuries as consistent with the unusual activity reported in the same general area.

The witness's uncle was burning grass along his pasture fence near dusk when he heard a classic wolf-like howl. Something then began beating on the side of a nearby storage trailer. He called for lights to be turned on and hurried back inside.

A detective friend investigated an attempted break-in at an old cabin north of the witness's jurisdiction. Officers found large claw marks seven to eight feet high on exterior walls and window frames and very large canine-like foot impressions around the building.
