Growl in Kentucky

The guest says the creature walked up on his father while the father was in the tobacco field. The father heard a low constant growl approaching that he first mistook for an airplane, and the family dogs fled. The father ran to the house, and firing a shotgun in the direction indicated by a young relative in the house.
