An older woman wrote that she and her uncle set traps for disappearing oranges and caught a tiny hair-covered naked man speaking an unknown language. Police put him in an orange crate, then the house was pelted with sticks, stones and oranges by dozens of similar beings until he was released. A later police worker recalled the crate incident.

Late at night while coon-hunting, four men waited by a campfire when their dogs stayed close and acted frightened. They then saw a huge white-haired figure standing about 30 yards away watching them. The men left the area quickly without further interaction.

The men left the area and later returned at dusk with two other men to find a dead calf with entrails removed and disturbed brush nearby. The witness's great-aunt recounted that as a young girl around 1905 she and two siblings were walking home from a party at night when they saw a dark-haired, man-like thing sitting in a field beside the road. The entity silently watched them and turned its head as they passed, its eyes reflecting the moonlight. The three walked home arm in arm, with one looking back to check if it was following.
