Four relatives fishing at one end of a lake in the Haig Lake area saw a large, hairy biped on the far shore about 500m to 1km away. The creature, described as over six feet tall, grey and black, and moving quickly on two legs without dropping to all fours, appeared to be coming around toward them. Alarmed by its speed, the group left the shoreline and returned to camp.

Three people in two pickups crested a hill at dawn and noticed a fresh set of large tracks looping across an open hillside in new snow. A relative glassed the area with binoculars, became visibly upset, and said he thought he had seen bigfoot. The group did not approach the tracks or the area and avoided it altogether. The account was relayed secondhand by a close friend of one of the men.

Two women driving to work rounded a curve and saw a tall werewolf-like figure standing by a road sign staring at them. The car slid near it and it looked in at the passenger, who felt it was intensely evil. The driver then sped away. The investigator later found smashed grass and clawed toe-ball prints high on the opposite bank and estimated nine feet.

A driver stopped to help two motorists whose car had left the road after swerving to avoid a large hairy creature chasing a deer across the road. While fetching a rope from his truck to pull their car out, he walked directly into the creature standing behind his truck. He noted a foul smell, red eyes, and a low growl before it walked to the woods edge and then into the woods. He then helped move the car and continued his trip, shaken by the encounter.

Two men walking through very dense brush heard a loud roar-like sound ending in a high-pitched shriek. They then smelled a very strong foul odor and heard unseen brush movement, followed by a second, closer howl. Both men fled through the brush and exited about half a mile from where they entered. The account was relayed to the reporter by a relative of one participant, who said the participant remained frightened of that woods afterward.

The driver said a tall, dark, hairy biped was striding across the road in the headlights about 75 feet away and continued on. The passenger had been asleep and did not see it, being awakened by the braking and shout.

After locking a building and walking toward the truck, he reportedly saw a huge bipedal creature he insisted was not a bear. Frightened and crying, he ran back inside and called relatives by phone to come help and stay on the line to keep him calm.

After turning out the lights and waiting, the witness saw a tall figure approach the trailer window breathing heavily and froze until it walked away. A motorcyclist turning onto Fairfield Street claimed a Bigfoot-like creature ran in front of him and caused him to fall. The creature then continued south toward Salt Creek while emitting a terrible smell. The frightened rider got up and left.
