Two hunters heard mumbling and found a giant hairy figure rocking in a cave with folded arms. The figure appeared to utter broken phrases and wore leaves around its midsection. When one hunter moved his gun, the figure shrieked, leaped into the water and swam and paddled away, then vanished into brush.

Sasquatch sighting in British Columbia
A timber cruiser traveling alone encountered a large hairy human-like figure washing roots at a waterhole about a hundred yards away. The figure studied the witness, then fled up a hillside on foot while crying out, pausing once to look back. The witness later found a pile of cleaned roots and heard similar cries at night.
