An eyewitness was walking in an area by a power line searching for arrowheads. She noticed something chasing a rabbit at a distance and realized it was very large. She froze hoping not to be seen, and the creature eventually ran off into the woods. She also reported recognizing a distinct pungent smell in that area.

Two independent researchers in their primary area felt they were being followed in a predatory way. They turned on bright lights, saw an upright canine-like creature, and fired at it. It reportedly dropped and then ran off, and sign of the shooting was found the next day.

A family living at the same location for years reported objects moved, repeated prowler calls to the sheriff, and several sightings of large hairy bipeds. An 11-year-old grandson was frightened by a huge brown figure near the property and for a time would not walk between houses after sunset alone. The investigator found hand-sized dents on a trailer and recorded house knocks during a three-night audio session.
Structure or nest
After the February 2012 knock the witness found two three-foot-high mounds of sticks northwest of the cabin.
Howl
On one prior occasion the witness heard a howl described as very similar to the 1994 Ohio moaning howl.

The witness had previously heard very loud knocking sounds coming from the woods behind the house.
