Once a larger six to seven foot figure was seen in a tree making whooping sounds as the group left. After they began leaving food out, the disturbances reportedly stopped.

The investigator describes habituation witnesses who have had creatures on their property for many years and interact about weekly from the front porch. The witnesses hear heavy bipedal approach, then exchange rock throws, howls, twig snaps and whoops. During his own visit the investigator whooped playfully and received an immediate matching whoop in reply.

Researchers retell an 18-year-old report of a helicopter logging crew harassed all summer at an abandoned ghost town. In a 24-hour period the boss and sons were chased off a mountainside, a water-truck driver saw eyeshine, and the boss saw a bear-like figure approach tree to tree, sending the crew to lock in camp.

A deer hunter in a climbing stand watched brush moving about 200 yards away and saw a large dark form squatting and disturbing a tree. When his stand made noise it looked at him, stood on two legs and ran. He found a huge slide track, then heard a wood knock and a whoop from different directions and left, later refusing to return.
