A youth driving a tractor in early afternoon noticed something black in roadside bushes. When he stopped to look closer it stood up and ran off on two feet. His father later brought the investigator to the spot, where the height was estimated at about eight feet based on the bushes.

A party of five was fishing on the Cheyenne River south of Faith when they noticed a tall hairy bear-like creature watching them from across the river. As they hurried to gather their gear to leave, a boy in the group said it was waving at them. The creature was described as taller than the small cottonwood trees along the bank.

A game warden watching for late shooting spotted a large black figure walking about four hundred yards away. Assuming it was a camouflaged hunter, he drove closer until within about seventy yards it looked at him and fled at great speed through a fence, convincing him it was no ordinary man.

Three men cruising slowly came over a hill to see a black hunched figure in the road. Within about fifty yards it sprang upright, vaulted a fence in one leap and stared with orange eyes. All occupants agreed on seeing a very large hairy man.
