Construction workers found a long line of large tracks in snow after an overnight storm. The investigator followed the trackway about a mile and a half through orchards, fields and a ravine. The steps were 4 to 6 feet apart in a straight line with no animal marks inside, and one clear dirt impression was cast before the trail was lost in a worked orchard.

Two brothers waiting outside an abandoned tunnel with dogs heard a loud roar from the trees and something very large breaking branches for about ten minutes. They froze, hearing padding in undergrowth without ever seeing it. Days later they found a very large footprint about twenty inches long.

Late at night a resident went onto the porch after the outside dog became highly agitated and heard continuous loud shrieking screams, which the spouse also heard. The next morning footprints were found in deep snow leading across a field toward the forest with long strides, and a second set was reported to join the first in the woods. A forestry technician flown by helicopter to a remote alpine basin for road layout work reported finding barefoot tracks in snow in January. He described approximately six prints showing toes that were wider than human and not bear-like. He checked with the helicopter pilot, who said he had not walked in the basin.
