Daylight sighting 20 miles northeast of Penn State -- a sasquatch crossing I-80
A driver traveling west on an interstate in Pennsylvania in the late afternoon saw a tall, uniformly dark, slender upright figure cross the highway from right to left in front of a car ahead. The figure moved quickly and smoothly, cleared a guardrail without pausing, and disappeared into a wooded median within a few seconds. A passenger in the truck did not see the figure.

The witness was walking back toward his vehicle along the creek after using predator calls when he heard a loud wood knock and heard footsteps paralleling him. He glimpsed a large upright figure slipping behind a tree, then caught its face and upper body in his spotlight from about 40 yards for about two seconds before it pulled back behind the tree. He retreated through brush, crossed the creek, and hurried back to his vehicle while on the phone with a friend.

The witness and companions were camping in the forest and had been processing firewood and sitting by the fire. Around 6:30 p.m. two of them distinctly heard a loud, pronounced human-like whoop lasting several seconds, while a third companion heard something indistinct. A flashlight shined toward the sound revealed a large owl flying away, which they initially assumed was the source, but later comparison with local owl and coyote sounds left the witness unable to identify it. The witness reported feeling uneasy with a sense of presence in camp overnight without further unusual sounds.

Around 2 a.m. the witness let dogs out and noticed two stationary red lights in the woods. From the yard edge the witness shone a flashlight that seemed to die out, then used a green laser whose beam appeared to stop on something. When the beam neared the red lights they moved together to avoid it and twinkled when spoken to. They were gone half an hour later and activity stopped.

A few days after foggy nights the witness saw an oval object with a pulsing white light rather than blinking aircraft lights. It moved across the sky, made a zigzag maneuver, then stopped dead for several seconds before continuing. The witness heard no noise despite other jets audible and had no phone to record.

On another night the witness pulled in but did not back into the garage, hopping out quickly. The witness then heard three loud knocks in succession with no other noise. The witness wondered if the sound occurs regularly but is normally masked by backing in.

While cleaning drainage pipes in the morning the witness heard a loud wood crack like a large timber snapping. Looking toward the sound, the witness caught movement of something large and black moving away through thick brush. The witness could discern only size and color and considered it could have been a bear.

The witness heard clearly bipedal footsteps in the woods off an old logging road while walking from the garage to the house. When the witness moved toward the sound it kept the same distance, moving when he moved and stopping when he stopped. The witness followed a short way but turned back where the road degrades.
Hunters report loud wood knocks outside Austin -- 35 miles southeast of Bradford
The witness was deer hunting with two relatives and walked back toward their truck after sunset. While walking, he heard repeated sets of knocking sounds from the woods, including answering knocks from a different, more distant direction. His father and grandfather also reported hearing knocks, and the group could not explain the source.

Shortly after dawn the witness noticed a strange human-like trackway in the snow near the house while watching the dog. After daylight he inspected the prints and found dozens in a straight line between houses with a long step and no shoe tread. He photographed the tracks with his phone. The trackway appeared to have been made overnight and led from a neighboring field to the road.
Very credible (2 witness) daylight sighting of a sasquatch walking along bike trail 60 east of Pittsburgh -- Ghost Town Trail
The witness and a companion were riding bicycles east on a rail-trail when they noticed a large dark figure about 150 yards ahead walking toward them on the trail. The figure noticed them about the same time, left the trail, and walked quickly into the woods. They reported no sound or odor, and a later check for prints found nothing because of heavy leaves.

On the morning of 11 October the witness was watching skittish deer from the cabin and scanned the treeline with optics. He claims to have seen a very tall, wide, greyish-brown hair-covered figure standing upright and slowly moving its head, with eye sockets visible. He also heard four whistles and saw a second smaller dark figure moving in cover nearby. He watched for about 30 minutes before having to leave.

The witness and three companions were night-fishing for catfish when they heard a series of wood knocks from both sides of the creek, closing to within 30 yards. They packed up to leave but heard four loud knocks near their parked vehicle before driving away. They later returned the same night to try to record further knocks on video.

Late at night the witness sat alone by an outdoor fire when he heard a loud, powerful howling sound coming from the wooded valley below. The sound repeated several times over about a minute and seemed to be projected in different directions. He judged it unlike familiar local animals and listened for another half hour without hearing it again.

The witness was hiking in the morning along a creek trail when a loud knock like wood on wood was heard from the uphill woods. After stopping, seeing nothing, and then taking two steps, a second single knock was heard. After watching uphill for about two minutes, the witness heard something running through brush uphill and away, but never saw the source.

After moving to western Pennsylvania, the witness took his dog for a hike on Quarry Trail in Linn Run State Park. Something paced him in thick hillside brush, stopping when he stopped, followed by two tree knocks and a loud deep scream from further up. On the return the dog acted alarmed, watching the brush behind him until they reached a rock outcropping and left. A researcher later visited the same area and photographed a bare human-like footprint and overturned rocks.
Possible stalking at the town of Sigel in Eldred Township
The witness was sitting in his truck overnight at a wooded construction site monitoring a generator. He heard bipedal footsteps pacing in the leaves and a loud bang on a tank that he believed was a thrown rock. A tall figure stepped to the edge of the woods beside the truck, turned to face him, then walked back into the woods. He turned headlights toward the woods but saw nothing further.

The witness was deer hunting at sunset when deer ran through as if being pushed by something. A tall reddish-brown bipedal figure followed the deer, approached a dead deer, looked toward the witness, then disappeared back up the hill. A wood knock was also noted.

Hiking alone on Toad Road, the investigator glimpsed a large fast gray-black form and followed it without thinking. The trail was muddy and overgrown. Further on he found a clean deer skull impaled at eye level in the middle of the trail where nothing had been weeks before.

While visiting Toad Road with companions, a companion heard huffing across the creek. The investigator was shown the direction and saw a single bright tree whipping back and forth while no other trees moved. No source at the base could be seen.
