He became dizzy and saw the child with red glowing eyes and jagged teeth attack him, followed by aggression from the mother and father. He fought them off, fled to a barangay hall for aid, and later photographed his bites and lacerations.

While on a week-long expedition in the jungle to look for the Amanongo, the guest and his guide camped for several days. On the second night the guest heard whoops and jungle sounds while the guide became visibly afraid. On the morning of the third day the guide had left with most gear, leaving a note that the forest creatures were angry.
