He says he walks there almost every evening and had never seen anything similar.

The witness was driving east on Highway 169 toward Virginia on a bright Sunday morning when she spotted a large silvery-gray furry creature on a hilltop clearing north of the westbound lanes. After a few seconds median trees blocked the view, and the witness continued without turning back. A car stopped on the opposite side appeared to be watching the same thing.

The witness was outside in the driveway on a cell phone call around midnight when they noticed two dark figures moving across a moonlit field. The larger figure, estimated at 7-8 feet tall, watched the witness while walking with an apelike gait and swinging arms, accompanied by a smaller 4-5 foot figure that appeared to forage. After crouching in tall grass, both figures moved toward trees and darkness to the southwest, and a rock or object struck a nearby shed as the witness went inside.
