He immediately left the house. Shortly after the broker said the house could not be financed because it was on a Native burial ground, so he bought elsewhere.

The witness and his wife drove from their lodge to a scenic overlook and noticed a foot trail beside the road. Beside the trail one tree was pushed over with its root ball exposed, a sapling was snapped at a right angle and twisted, and another was bent into an arc with its top stuck in the soil. He photographed the trees and a researcher told him it was a Sasquatch trail marker.

The witness drove faster, saw green eyeshine in the taillights, and followed it for about two miles until it turned off into an old field. Responses approached, then stopped, followed by heavy bipedal steps and rocks thrown from the front on both sides. They threw rocks back for many minutes until a rock came from the direction they had entered, making the guest conclude they were surrounded.

On the second to last night out, the guest noticed an upright shadow behind a large oak tree about 15 to 20 feet away. He could see an arm with long shaggy hair and a hand with five pointed fingers. A rock landed nearby, he glanced away, and the shape was gone without sound.

He then perceived a strong internal voice inviting him to stay the night to meet them, to which he mentally replied he was not ready, after which the sensation faded as the presence left.

While driving a rental on a curvy road near a campground west of Greenville, the guest and his partner watched a large hairy biped step from a yard toward the road between their car and a following maroon car, which swerved into a ditch. The large one crossed in two steps and scrambled up a steep embankment where two smaller similar figures were seen from behind walking away. Both occupants saw colors and smelled a strong odor, and the following family also reacted.

As a boy the guest was alone on the couch late at night while his mother took trash to barrels behind the house. Two small hairy creatures came onto the lit back porch and pressed their faces and hands to the glass door to stare at him, then looked at each other, smiled, and fled when the trash lid banged. His mother saw nothing but noted a skunk-like smell outside.

While hiding beside a trail to play a prank, he grunted like a deer at an approaching figure he assumed was his friend. The figure stopped, stared directly at him, then crashed away through extremely thick briars and vines, and the real friend arrived moments later from a different direction.

It then crossed the road in a few long steps, went over the far guardrail into the woods, leaving a putrid odor.
