On a snowy winter night around 1995, the witness was shoveling snow on the front porch when the dog rushed out then abruptly turned back inside as if frightened. After a final knock they heard an answer from one direction and then another from the opposite direction. Their father ended the activity and they left quickly.

Others in the cabin also looked, and companions with night vision described softball-sized balls. The lights disappeared after noise and activity.

After ice-breaking triggered a heavy thud on one side, the return ice-break triggered overlapping whoops with chatter on the other side. The daughter then reported a large black man-like figure crossing the road ahead and staring at them; no tracks were found on frozen ground.
