The witness and a friend spent the night in a wooded area outside Portland that a local woman considers active, hoping to explore telepathic contact. After a mental exchange about meeting later, they watched two hovering lights about fifteen feet away for half an hour. While filming a solo survival episode in Alaska, the witness heard a huge vocalization like a silverback gorilla followed by a loud crashing like a freight train moving through the forest. He decided at the time not to mention it on the show because he did not want the encounter to overshadow his survival work.

The witness recalls hearing loud screams in the forest that sounded like women being tortured, similar to sounds described by Sasquatch enthusiasts. The sound frightened him so much it drove him out of the forest, the only time that happened. He was practicing survival skills with a companion at the time and notes the sound could also have been animals such as porcupines or mountain lions.

The guest went hunting with an uncle in a mountainous area and followed a blood trail to a wounded deer in snow. A very large hairy biped stood close behind them breathing heavily and swaying, watching the deer and tracking the guest's rifle movements. They laid down their guns and backed away, after which the creature dragged the deer, tore it in half, left one half, and carried the other away.

A few years later the guest was playing inside near dusk while the father was dressing a deer outside. A shadow paced past the front window, then the creature screamed and pounded the house until its arm broke through the glass. The father ran out with a shotgun, argued and exchanged cries with it for nearly half an hour, then fired. The father later had the grandfather bring a truck, removed the body, and years later said he shot it in the face three times.

The guest described being a young child playing on the living room floor in the evening while both parents were in the same room. A hairy creature came to the window, slammed its hands on either side, and pressed its face to the glass. The father seized a muzzleloader and went outside, where he and the creature exchanged loud roars for about twenty minutes before it left.

The hosts recall hearing a fourth and fifth growl that shook them rather than the car. They felt elevated heartbeat, fear, confusion and time loss and had to stop to regroup.

After leaving the mausoleum, the group stood talking by their vehicle when a non-human black shadow ran toward two of them. They jumped in the vehicle and left the third companion banging outside before letting him in. When they looked back it was gone.

Two relatives were bass fishing from a small boat when rocks were thrown toward them. After beaching, one threw rocks back, the creature screamed, stepped out, charged and struck one man hard enough to break ribs and puncture a lung, then threw a log that cut his chin. It reappeared swaying and clicking, then leapt a great distance and ran off on all fours. Authorities and later visitors called it a bear and told them to leave it alone.
Footsteps in Florida
The witness returned with a friend in law enforcement to camp at the same area. Friday night they heard close footsteps and saw hogs, Saturday they measured the sighting location and saw broken vegetation, and Saturday evening the friend silently alerted and later said a creature watched them from about 15 feet. On leaving they found fresh teepee-like grass structures with the same foul smell, and afterward both were questioned by supervisors who called it a bear.
Odor in Florida
The witness paddled a kayak in pre-dawn darkness to scout fish and noticed unnatural quiet. After daylight he smelled a horrific odor, heard a powerful scream-growl that shook vegetation, and saw a face behind a palm frond. The creature charged into the water to within about 15 feet while he held up a paddle, stared with a hostile expression, then turned and walked back to the woods.

The witness, working as a narcotics investigator, was parked on a gravel road at a management-area entrance and stepped to the back of the vehicle. A tall broad figure about the witness's height stood 50 to 60 feet away in profile and then turned to face the witness. A rumbling grunt was heard from the brush nearby while the figure watched, after which the witness got in the vehicle and left.

While hauling a refrigerated load north at night, the witness pulled onto an exit ramp to check a temperature alert and began diagnostics on the trailer. The witness noticed a musky odor and breathing, turned on cab work lights, and found a tall hairy face leaning in within a few feet. When the trailer engine kicked on, both were startled, the creature slapped the unit hard enough to break fiberglass and then ran across a field with heavy footfalls.
