The witness, then a 10-year-old boy, was catching reptiles in a dry creek bed behind his grandparents' rural property when a tall slender ape-like female appeared across the creek with an infant. A taller darker male then emerged, bared his teeth and displayed aggressively, and the female positioned herself between the male and the boy. Both creatures then left into the brush, and the boy ran home and told his grandmother, who said she believed him.

A few days after the field light the witness woke around 3 a.m. unable to move or speak and saw a clear sparkly bubble-like blob moving between his head and feet.
