While riding for lion sign in deep powder snow, the witness and a relative found large human-like tracks walking in a straight tightrope line. The tracks crossed the road and continued up a hillside to dirt, and the witness estimated them several sizes larger than his own footwear.

Both shot at it many times with no apparent effect, then lost it in a ravine with no blood or tracks, noting the area had gone quiet.

Years later the witness brought his girlfriend to the same deer camp in summer to show her a carved tree. From very close in dense woods they heard two male-like voices conversing and approaching but never emerging. The voices stopped without footsteps away, and years later the couple recognized the sound in a recorded vocalization on a television show.
