At age 11 the witness was riding his bike to a lake on a clear windy day when the wind and sounds suddenly stopped. He saw a smooth silver metallic disc overhead that tilted to show an edge like a cigar and then departed instantly across miles of sky. The wind and sounds resumed seconds later and he continued to go swimming.

A black upright figure ran incredibly fast across the woods without crashing sounds and stopped behind a distant tree. He saw reflective eyes and a large squatting silhouette with wide-set eyes, heavy shoulders and knuckles on the ground, which he concluded was not the known local bear. He stalled, slipped into the light, ran inside for a shotgun, but the figure left before his father turned on the lights.

She kept picking past them, retreated slowly to the house, and told her grandfather, who fired shots but found nothing; as an adult she interprets them as a Sasquatch family.
