The witness woke a companion as loud crashing and branch-breaking circled the campsite for several minutes before moving off into the woods. No vocalizations or odor were noted, and the group left early in the morning without investigating the area.

He claims a tall, pitch-black ape-like figure walked from south to north in view for about twenty feet, erect but leaning slightly forward with long arms swinging. About ten minutes after a prior animal encounter, an unseen source came to the rim of the bank above camp and screamed twice, then screamed once more after a short pause before going silent. A woman driving home with her children at dusk saw a brown figure crouched on the highway median outside Gladstone. The figure stood up, crossed the highway in a couple of steps, lowered its arms to its sides, and disappeared into the woods. She described it as extremely fast and graceful and concluded it could only have been a Bigfoot.

After helping at another house, the witness and a companion drove home through wooded roads late at night. Their headlights caught a very large, tall, dark-brown figure running across the road about 40 to 50 feet away. In a few long strides it disappeared into the woods, and the frozen ground left no tracks to examine.

The witness and a trooper responded to a health facility for a report of a possibly suicidal staff member who had reportedly turned his head fully backward with eyes rolled back.
