As a child riding with his mother down in a valley the witness saw a beam of light from the sky shining straight down onto a house on the hilltop ridgeline. His mother slowed to look. By the time they drove up the hill the light was gone.

Around midnight the witness saw a wide white searchlight-like beam shining straight up from the back of a neighbor's field. His wife joined him and they watched several minutes from a hill by the children's playground. The witness called the neighbor, attempted phone video, and the light shut off as the neighbor's vehicle approached; a later drive to the spot found nothing.

In darkness the witness walked a logging path to his tree stand while two sets of eyeshine paralleled him side-by-side for a long distance. When he switched on white light at about 15 feet the eyes rose to about seven feet with a bark-like grunt, then vanished. From the stand he watched one taller and one smaller eyeshine peek from behind a tree until a neighbor's vehicle lights approached, when they crashed away loudly through the woods.

On early mornings before work the witness repeatedly heard bird-like chirps and whistles around his house. On one morning he heard a chirp near the house answered about 20 yards out in the cornfield. He did not realize the significance until later after listening to reports of similar sounds.

While hauling a refrigerated load north at night, the witness pulled onto an exit ramp to check a temperature alert and began diagnostics on the trailer. The witness noticed a musky odor and breathing, turned on cab work lights, and found a tall hairy face leaning in within a few feet. When the trailer engine kicked on, both were startled, the creature slapped the unit hard enough to break fiberglass and then ran across a field with heavy footfalls.

On the way back they saw two very bright silent lights take the same ravine path as the earlier light. They watched a very bright white light move silently through a ravine and trees while the eyes moved toward it. The dog then reacted aggressively and the witness looked up to see two large hairy figures standing near dense vegetation. After a stare-down lasting several minutes, the witness backed away with the dog and hiked back to the trailhead.
