Multi-witness road-crossing sighting outside Fort St.John
In 1965 a family of five was driving on the Alaska Highway in the early evening when an upright hairy figure crossed the road directly in front of their pickup near Mile 91. The occupants in both the cab and the camper watched it cross quickly. They later stopped at a cafe where the father made a joking remark about what they had seen. A lingering egg-like smell was also noted in connection with the crossing.

A prospector camping alone in coastal mountains awoke at night to being carried inside his sleeping bag for hours to a small enclosed valley. There he encountered four hair-covered individuals described as a family group and was held for about six days living on remaining canned food. He gained favor with the younger ones using snuff and handmade utensils, then incapacitated the adult male with a large dose of snuff and escaped during the resulting commotion, hiking south to a logging camp for help.

In the headlights at a hairpin where a creek crossed the road, she saw a tall grey hairy figure bent over the creek. It stood, took a long stride, stepped up a steep dirt bank and disappeared into trees within moments. A companion in the back seat also saw it and was frightened, while the two occupants in the front seat were looking elsewhere and saw nothing.

The tenant fled by car while a relative working on a door lock nearby did not see it.

The snow had melted to gravel within the outlines, but the shape looked more like a footprint than a boot print. The witness returned home for a camera and yardstick to document track size and spacing and shared photos to ask whether they could be Bigfoot tracks.
