The witness was riding in a work truck with two relatives returning to a construction site when a tall, slender, dark-furred biped ran into the dirt road about 50 feet ahead and stopped. The creature appeared startled and was holding material that looked like clothing, then bounded across the road, jumped a 4.5-foot fence, and disappeared up a hill. The occupants screamed and the driver braked hard.

Something paced the guest at a distance, pushed down fences where the guest crossed gates, then followed very close with extremely heavy footsteps that stopped when the guest stopped. After reaching pasture and pavement the sounds continued from the treeline, a tree was heard falling, and chains were heard beating at an abandoned station before the guest ran to a store.

The witness, recently out of the military, was fly-fishing with three relatives in a steep, remote river gorge. He turned to see an upright animal at close range that quickly climbed the steep bank to the ridgeline. The group then heard extremely loud guttural vocalizations and huffs, saw movement on the ridge, and had a large rock land in the water near them. They left at dusk and later agreed among themselves it had not been a bear despite one relative's dismissive explanation.

Two people were fishing at a river at night when wildlife sounds suddenly stopped. One of them went to the top of the bank with a rifle and spotlight and observed red eyes estimated to be 7 to 8 feet high near the fence. Shots were fired toward the eyes, impacts were heard, and the eyes closed with nothing further seen. The pair left quickly, had to move crowded livestock to exit, and never returned.
