The witness was driving to work westbound on US 460 east of Shelbiana in the morning when a tall, hairy biped came from the river side, went over the guardrail and took two steps across the two-lane highway. The guest and his father went deer hunting in Beaver Creek, separated to different fields, and the guest climbed a stand overlooking woods and a field edge. He watched a 5-6 foot black, upright creature with long arms move quietly by leaping between tree bases and walking logs. At about 75 yards it noticed him, hid behind a tree peeking at him, then used the tree for cover and disappeared, after which he climbed down and left.

The witness and his son were walking back to the truck after deer hunting when they saw a tall hair-covered figure come out of a cedar thicket about 50 yards down their path. The figure stopped when they stopped, then stepped back into the thicket and disappeared from sight. They heard something following them and staying hidden all the way back to the truck.

Two companions were camping in remote steep woods while digging ginseng when they were awakened late at night by loud howls, screams, growls and chattering. Something shook trees and threw large rocks and small sapling trees into their camp for hours, retreating when the fire was built up and returning as it died down. At daylight they found saplings broken off and uprooted around camp and hiked out to the road.

The witness was hiking on a mountain and heard a tapping sound while looking down a hollow toward a thicket. Through binoculars the witness watched a large hairy figure sitting on a log hitting it with a rock, then standing, looking toward the witness, moving its head side to side while hunched, and dashing into the thicket.

The witness and a relative were driving home late at night when their headlights revealed a tall, muscular, hair-covered human-like figure standing partly on the roadway. The passenger, within a few feet of it, described its human-like face and eyes watching the car as they passed. After several minutes of silence both occupants reacted and continued discussing the encounter.

After throwing a rock back and hearing a thud instead of a normal impact, the witness heard a loud growl and a larger rock passed nearby. The witness ran back to the house without seeing anything.

Against instructions, the witness hiked alone to a cliff overhang where brushy debris looked like a nest. After a bobcat approached then abruptly fled, the witness smelled a strong pungent odor and saw a reddish hairy figure lean from behind a large beech tree and stare without moving. The witness ran down the mountain to the yard.

While walking out on a remote logging road after discovering flat tires, the witness confronted a black bear that kept approaching despite shouting. A large hairy biped rushed down the hill on all fours, landed in the road and slid, causing the bear to flee. The biped then stood, stared, and bluff-charged twice with loud vocalizations until the witness fled on foot and was later picked up by drivers in a pickup.

While doing a snipe-hunting prank with his scout troop at dusk, the 11-year-old witness stopped to tie his shoe near a tree line. He heard rustling, shone his flashlight, and saw a small hair-covered figure staring at him for a few seconds. The figure glanced aside and was abruptly jerked out of sight, which he interpreted as its mother pulling it away.

The witness took a light and walked toward the woods without it on, smelling a strong foul odor and hearing branches breaking. When the flashlight was turned on, the witness briefly saw a tall, large, hairy bipedal animal fleeing through the woods. Broken branches and ground disturbance were found the next day.
