The witness and two friends were talking in a girl's long dirt driveway at night near a stream and farm buildings. They noticed a small white light that grew closer until a silent boomerang-shaped craft with three lights hovered low overhead then moved away slowly. The witness ran inside for a disposable camera but could not find it in time.

Waking with a sense of danger she shone a spotlight to the creek and watched a very tall muscular hairy figure stand, display large hands and scream for 30-40 seconds. Two people walking a dog on a trail noticed multiple large human-shaped droppings along the uphill side and discussed them as possible territorial marking. After turning back when a deer startled them, they found a single deep, clear footprint partly hidden by branches and photographed it with a shoe and water bottle for scale. They searched briefly for a natural cause for the impression but left quickly because the companion and dog were agitated.

After evening-shooting a large deformed buck that ran into the woods, the guest returned at dawn and crawled into a low briar tunnel to follow blood. A tremendous growl vibrated through him, heavy stomping approached, and a towering shadow loomed over his back with visible flexing fingers. He talked calmly while backing out, then fled. Two days later he found only the deer's ripped-off head with crumbling bone.

After shooting a deer that visibly went down, the guest returned with help and lights to follow blood to where it lay. The deer was gone and in its place was a terrified female beagle wearing a hunting collar from two counties away, which had to be carried out.

While culling deer after his grandfather died, the guest sat on a stump and twice saw a big black shape swaying behind a small tree. On the second sit a squirrel erupted loudly to one side with sounds like hand-slapping mimicry while the shape appeared closer, prompting him to leave the woods.

When about fourteen and riding as a passenger while his father turned at a flat intersection, the guest watched a knee-high solid-black chimp-like being dash from the woods, slap the side of the car, and vanish back into the woods. His father stopped, reacted, and later had to pull the dent out with a plunger.

The grandfather warned about blue lights coming from the field by the woods. The guest later saw them several times at dusk from a tree stand as soft light-blue forms rising from the ground like structured smoke or lava-lamp wisps, then drifting downhill toward water.

Throughout childhood the family experienced constant strange activity on the farm including murmuring voices, something calling names in the mother's voice, rocks thrown into the pond while night fishing, hammer-like knocks, whoops, nightly crashing like a falling tree that never hit ground, and moving smells. Visitors felt watched and refused to return.

Years later during a yard fire with snow on the ground, the guest looked across the street and saw a large bright red eye reflecting firelight from behind an oak. His friend also saw it and ran inside in fear. When the guest looked back it was gone silently with no breaking sticks or movement sounds.

After she dropped a wood-box lid, she heard a strange deep whoop with a high pitch, and he heard the tail end as he came outside. The witness paused and thought sunlight glinted on hair within the pile, but the pile then remained completely still and the witness walked away.

Later while living in the same house, the witness lay in bed on a summer night with windows open. A strange vocalization was heard that resembled a deer call blended with a peacock-like cry but sounded wrong and voiced in an unnatural way. The sound caused a strong fear response.
