After dark with snow on the ground, while driving out for dinner, the witness stopped in the woods, struck a tree with a sledgehammer to make a low thump, and moments later got a reply knock from down the ravine. He joked it must be a redneck waiting to reply.

While the first witness was upslope, the other two hunters several hundred yards away along the same ravine heard whoops, loud rapid tree knocks, owls that turned into chicken and pig sounds, rock clacking replies, and large limbs popping in mature pines. They joked about the sounds at the time as bored owls and dismissed them. They later interpreted them as intelligent mimicry and communication coming up out of the ravine.

While hunting turkey alone along a driveway, the witness stalked what looked like a turkey to a ravine shelf, felt watched, then turned and saw a tall reddish-brown upright blur retreat very close behind him. He could not explain it as deer or bird because it made no noise. He moved to the open driveway and then heard extremely loud rapid tree knocks.

The witness and his son were driving on a rough road while hunting for deer late in the day. The witness stopped to scan a ridge about 300 yards away and saw a large dark standing figure near a tree that they joked looked like Bigfoot but assumed was a stump. After driving to a dead end and returning less than three minutes later, the figure was gone. The witness remains uncertain what it was and is not convinced it was Bigfoot.

The witness was camping alone with his dog and stepped outside the tent around 1:30 a.m. He heard a very loud siren-like sound lasting several seconds, immediately followed by three whoops from about 70 feet away inside the treeline. He scanned with a flashlight, heard nothing further, and returned to the tent with his dog, which had stared fixedly toward the sound.

The witness states he was on his driveway at night with his dog when a doe walked past in the yard light and moonlight. Immediately behind the doe, a large hair-covered biped walked across an open gap of about 30 feet between cedar trees without making noise. He watched it in side view the whole way and later judged it to be about eight feet tall based on a tree it passed.

The witness reports repeatedly hearing loud yells or howls late at night while visiting a companion's residence, occurring every two to three nights over about a month and a half and including the evening of September 26, 2014. While driving down a mountain road to work in the evening, the witness slowed for what looked like a bear. The animal stepped over a guardrail, looked at the stopped vehicle, then crossed the two-lane road in two steps and went up the mountain into the woods. The witness described it as very tall with dark matted hair and was shaken by the encounter.

A woman driving her family home on a very foggy night saw a broad bipedal figure on the roadside with its back to the road. She described a cone-shaped head and hair shining in the vehicle lights before it disappeared as the car passed. Her husband was asleep and did not see it, and a later return to the spot found nothing.

The witness and a companion were hiking toward Lake Ann in the evening when they heard a prolonged exchange of high-pitched, varied and eerie calls between two distant, inaccessible points across the valley. The exchange lasted several minutes. Shortly afterward they met two other hikers who had also heard the sounds and found them strange.

The creature moved very quickly into dense woods and had disappeared by the time the witness reached the crossing point. The witness later noted flattened grass where it entered the woods and said it looked like no known human or animal.

He then heard three loud, deep, unfamiliar howls spaced seconds apart that vibrated his chest, after which the coyotes fell silent. Throughout the night he heard knocks, screams, howls, voices, footsteps, rocks and twigs landing nearby, and felt his tarp, hammock lines and gear being touched. The witness and her adult son were camped overnight in tents at a lakeside site. At dusk the witness gave a loud whoop and heard a return whoop from across the lake, followed by elk bugling and a loud knock from behind camp. After going to bed, the witness felt something heavy step on the tent edge and push on her head through the fabric, then heard soft bipedal steps around camp until dawn when another knock was heard.

The witness was working overnight inside a building at a trailer drop yard when loud chimpanzee-like noises were heard from the north edge near hedge apple trees. The witness yelled toward the sounds and approached to about 60 feet, when branches began shaking. A four-foot reddish animal was seen from behind in the tree with a wedge-shaped head and longer-than-human arms before it moved away out of view while noises continued.

Two people driving home at night saw an upright, muscular animal beside the road in their high-beam headlights. As they passed, it moved away from the roadside and walked down into a large ditch toward a house. The witnesses described it as about seven feet tall with long, scraggly brown hair and said they could not see its face. They were frightened and did not go back to look for tracks.

The witness was on the back porch at home around 8 p.m. when a tree-knock-like sound was heard from the woods to the northeast. About five minutes later a low rumble rising into a deep whoop-like sound was heard from the same general area. The witness went inside and turned off the exterior lights. No visual contact was reported.

The witness was fishing with family at a lake in the afternoon and walked to check a second rod. He heard leaves crunching about 30 feet to his left and saw a hairy ape-like creature with light brown hair running with long swinging arms while crouched forward. His daughter was behind him and shouted about a big animal, and they returned to the rest of the family.

Two men sat in complete darkness in a forest hotspot talking and playing harmonicas to invite contact while two companions monitored from about 100 yards with a thermal imager. After hearing a stick break and soft knocks, they reported seeing a small red-orange light near the ground that illuminated ferns and silhouetted what looked like a large finger with knuckles moving toward them before fading. They remained on site afterward playing music and talking.
