Sighting by a Backpacker Near Bullfrog Lake
The witness was hiking back toward camp in daylight when they noticed a small bear-like figure showing interest in a backpack at the camp from about 100 yards away. After watching for about two minutes, the figure stood and walked bipedally into the trees with person-like arm swing and a smooth gait, disappearing at 200-250 yards. The witness interpreted the figure as a young Sasquatch about 4.5 feet tall and reported feeling that something unnatural was being witnessed.

In the fall of 1968 the witness and a companion drove to Larch Mountain in the evening to collect snow and walked from the parking lot toward the summit lookout. They found huge widely spaced tracks in shallow snow that followed the trail briefly before going off down a slope. Frightened, they ran back to the car and drove down, later agreeing the tracks could not have been human or bear.

She turned to see a large round head looking in through an open casement window. The head quickly ducked down and audibly struck the window pane, after which she ran to the adults, who dismissed the incident as a dream.

The witness was lying in bed at home around 4am when an unidentified screaming sound was heard outside. Dogs appeared to chase the source, and heavy thudding footsteps passed the window followed by barking dogs. The witness was frightened, did not look outside, and years later recognized a similar scream on a television program about Bigfoot.

About 30 years ago in Columbus, the witness was playing tag with a group of children in a front yard at dusk when the other children fled frightened toward nearby adults. The witness then saw a white, hairy, slightly hunched figure standing and peeking around the corner of a duplex, with the top of its head level with the top of a window estimated at over seven feet. The figure moved slightly side to side before the witness backed away, and it was gone when checked shortly after, with no trace found the next morning.

A few days into a school camping trip, the first guest was standing with two other girls at the edge of a field after a softball game when the companions fled in terror. The witness turned, locked eyes with a tall hair-covered figure standing close behind, and ran in circles around it while it turned to keep eye contact until shouts from the group helped break the lock. Camp staff sent the children home early citing a bear, though the witness insisted the face and eyes looked human.

The witness and a companion were camping overnight in sleeping bags with two other campers who were asleep. In the early morning the witness felt watched, sat up, and both awake campers saw a large totally black humanoid standing at the woods edge about a hundred feet away for several minutes. After getting up, the witness saw glowing red eyes and a dark outlined shape in the window behind the chair. The witness waited, then called law enforcement to report a prowler and while waiting heard windows and the back door rattle softly. Deputies arrived much later and remarked the figure must have been fairly tall, and no tracks were found the next day because of leaves.

The witness and a relative were deer hunting and camped in a remote area. The witness scouted a hilltop path one afternoon, then returned the next morning after light rain to find large human-like barefoot prints overlying his own prints from the day before. He followed them along the ridge until they left the trail into trees and underbrush, where he stopped.

After dark he felt watched and twice saw bright eyes, the second time discerning a large wide black shape about 20 feet away, accompanied by a repulsive odor. He left the site for the night and returned at daylight, finding no footprints. The next morning a crew member showed him heavy barrels that had been moved, which the witness associated with the animal.
