Sasquatch sighting near Lenexa, Kansas (1970)

While throwing a football alone at night, the witness noticed a small head with pointed ears peeking from behind tall hedge bushes and threw the ball toward it after it repeatedly ducked. Later that same night while sleeping near a low bedroom window, a much larger hairy face appeared at the glass, made eye contact, shifted its eyes, wrinkled its brow and opened a wide mouth showing pointed teeth. The witness fled to a parent's room while heavy pacing was felt and heard around the house, then police were called but found nothing. The next morning the witness found large prints around windows and garden, recalled repeated early-morning howls, a growl with a branch breaking, grunting in the basement and a violently shaking backyard tree.

Footsteps in Tennessee (1970)

The guest described leaving a brother's farm in the evening and taking a tractor road through dark woods to avoid being driven back. Something paced the guest at a distance, pushed down fences where the guest crossed gates, then followed very close with extremely heavy footsteps that stopped when the guest stopped. After reaching pasture and pavement the sounds continued from the treeline, a tree was heard falling, and chains were heard beating at an abandoned station before the guest ran to a store.

Handprint (1970)

On a southern farm in the early 1970s horses repeatedly became visibly sweaty, panicked and ran the pasture with wide eyes the morning after nighttime disturbances. The family found braids in manes and tails and large handprints in sweat on flanks and necks. A neighbor's similar report helped them conclude Sasquatch-like visitors were molesting livestock.

Two men remember hearing bone-chilling scream while parking at lookout point in Stone State Park

In summer 1970 the witness parked at a Stone State Park overlook at night with three companions. While he lay on a blanket with his date near bushes, a very loud scream erupted from very close by. The pair fled to the convertible and drove away, leaving the blanket behind. Decades later the witness interpreted the screamer as a female bigfoot startled at close range.

It paused, turned its whole torso toward the children, then continued into the tree line. The frightened children ran to a neighbor's house, and the witness's mother later suggested it was a Bigfoot, which the witness confirmed from a magazine photo weeks later.

Sasquatch sighting near Rainier, Oregon (1970)

The witness describes three years of repeated encounters after his family moved onto a wooded hillside property. Four ape-like animals repeatedly approached the trailers, peered in windows, vocalized at night, left tracks, damaged structures, and killed livestock. The father shot the largest animal in the shoulder near the pump house, after which the animals moved faster and more cautiously but continued the activity. Forestry and law-enforcement visitors reportedly told the father to stop shooting, and timber workers and well drillers also encountered the animals.

A large, unseen growling animal breaks large branches as it moves quickly up a hillside

The witness and a companion hiked about five miles up a creek to fish and felt they were being watched as the forest went unusually quiet. During an afternoon thunderstorm a lightning strike hit across the creek, after which they heard a growling or grunting sound and branches breaking high in trees moving rapidly up the creek and mountain out of hearing. The witness briefly saw a large shadow moving in the woods but nothing conclusive, and they could not search for prints because a fire from the strike caused evacuation.

In summer around 1970, the witness and a friend were walking on an old dirt road through dense forest. They ran about half a mile out of the woods and the witness reported it to family that evening.
