In summer 1973 the witness and a companion boated to a steep forested hillside intending to climb it. Shortly after landing and starting to climb, rocks began falling from above through the trees, increasing from small to football-sized, forcing them to retreat to the boat. Rocks continued to fall in the water around them with one or two landing in the boat, and they saw no one throwing them.

The witness and a relative were riding horses on a ranch trail in the morning when the horses stopped and refused to move. After the birds went quiet and a branch snap was heard, the witness saw the back of a large hair-covered being about twenty feet away moving trees aside before disappearing. The witness was camped alone with a dog near a sinkhole on a farm bluff to feed horses in the morning. After building a fire and cooking, loud grunts, growls and scream-like screeches came from the sinkhole while many young trees shook violently despite little wind. Horses stared then fled, the dog stayed close shaking, and a brief odd odor was noticed. Frightened, the witness doused the fire and left with the dog, and reports avoiding woods since.

Three residents described separate encounters in early June 1973 with a human-sized creature that chased them. The creature was said to be about 5 feet 8 inches tall and broad-shouldered, with red eyes sensitive to light, a musty odor, and silent movement. A large white bipedal creature emerged, stopped and stared toward the witness for several seconds after the witness shouted, then turned and walked back in the direction it came from. He described the being as fully hair-covered with dark eyes and elongated arms, moving with a flailing-armed jog, with no sound or odor noted.

The witness and a relative camped overnight at two unfinished houses in swampy pine woods while on a work assignment. After dark by a campfire the witness saw eyes and then watched a tall upright figure cross an open area and take bacon left near the fire. The witness retreated into the house, retrieved rifles, and kept watch through the night. No usable tracks were found the next morning.

The witness describes walking alone on a trail to a stream in New Mexico in 1973 when something crashed behind them. Turning around, they saw a very hairy bipedal creature about seven to eight feet tall that looked directly at them. They ran as it followed with loud thumping footsteps, then the steps stopped and it was gone, with a rotten-meat stench noticed afterward.

As a child helping with leaf raking at relatives' old homeplace, the witness was alone in the front yard when a strange sound was heard. Looking around, the witness saw a large tree-sized entity with piercing red eyes watching. The witness went to get a relative, but the entity was gone on return.

The witness and a relative were driving south on an interstate in the early morning mist. Their high beams lit up a very tall, thick-bodied figure covered head to toe in dark fur standing by the guard rail. The figure turned its head to watch them as they slowed to look and drove past without stopping.

For up to an hour about 150 yards away small trees swayed and crashed with continuous huffing and puffing, and he glimpsed something big and black between trees. His father later told him it was likely an escaped bison, which the witness accepted as a child but now questions.

The witness was with two companions preparing to launch a boat for duck hunting. Using a flashlight around patches of snow, the witness found a very long footprint and called the others over. Around the same time the group heard a loud shrill vocalization unlike anything heard before, then continued with the outing.

Earlier the same summer, the witness and a younger local girl were walking back from fishing when they felt followed through the trees. When they stopped the sounds stopped, and when they moved the sounds resumed, including an extra footstep. They glimpsed a form hiding behind a tree, first assuming Amish kids, but later wondering if it was Bigfoot paralleling them.

The witness, age about nine, was camping with two cousins and his older brother in a field on his aunt's farm. Pre-dawn he heard rustling through tall grass and brush, then saw a giant hairy arm with a huge hand reach through a mesh opening at the top of the tent. His young cousin gasped, the arm withdrew, they heard it retreat, and in daylight they found a wide path pressed through the grass to the thicket.
