Family finds large footprints and hears strange sounds near Pollock Pines
During a family walk on a mountain logging trail in the late 1970s, the group heard branches breaking around them. Near a recently fallen tree they found a wet blood-like substance on the log and a very large fresh human-like footprint that dwarfed an adult man's boot. The group quickly left the area and returned toward the cabin.

Two deer hunters reported that after a rock flew over their heads in a meadow, something unseen paralleled them down a trail for about a mile while throwing or rolling large rocks alongside them. Back at camp that night all four hunters heard a large tree fall across the creek after noticing an unusual absence of wildlife all day. Believing something did not want them in the valley, the group packed up and left that night.

About 25 years ago on a summer night, the witness was driving north on I-5 south of Bellingham when an animal ran across the freeway from left to right. He swerved to avoid it and saw it in the headlights running on all fours, noting reddish fur, a higher shoulder line, and a flat ape-like face with large eyes. He first thought it was a large dog then a young bear before concluding its face did not match either. He did not stop, and his passenger slept through the incident.

In October 2006 on a dark evening, a relative was warming up and moving a car in the witness's front yard when the headlights revealed a tall bipedal creature with red eyes standing by a maple tree and rocking. The creature turned and ran into the forest, and the relative heard it moving through woods and then through water with an echo. A later retracing indicated the water was a large culvert under the main road leading toward an undeveloped green belt.

The witness was staying overnight in a cabin and was awakened about 2 a.m. by distant dogs barking. He then heard groups of three to four wood knocks in quick succession, repeated several times over two to three minutes from a wooded area a few hundred yards away. He reported hearing no other wildlife that night.

While riding bikes on a sunny day, the witness and a companion saw a large bipedal creature come out of wooded cover and cross the road ahead of them. The creature paused, turned to face them as they approached, then continued across and disappeared into thick cover. When the riders reached the crossing point they found nothing and rode home frightened.

A child crossing a creek to climb a wooded hillside behind home heard a noise and saw a large muscular figure standing in the woods. The child ran back across the creek, looked back, and watched the figure look, then turn and walk uphill out of sight. The account was relayed years later by a relative after the child recognized a picture on a television tape.

Two companions were walking down a private logging road in near-dark to get off a hill before dark. They saw a figure standing near the timber edge about 80 yards away and stopped to watch it. After a companion threw a rock that landed near it, the figure turned and walked into the timber.

Two occupants driving south to a fishing spot at dawn noticed an ape-like animal crouched beside garbage bags on the roadside. From about 22-25 feet they watched it lean forward and twice extend an arm to drop trash, noting black hair, facial features and long arms. They estimated its standing height at five-and-a-half to six feet and concluded it was a juvenile Bigfoot. The companion also reportedly saw an adult watching from the forest behind.

The witness could not see the source with a weak flashlight and described it as unlike any dog, coyote, or wolf, later believing it was a bigfoot.

A woman walking home on a wooded trail with an infant and a dog heard loud breaking branches and debris crunching, then watched a large brown furry figure standing partly exposed behind a tree for about two minutes. Her dog, which normally chases animals, only stopped and stared. The figure then silently disappeared down a steep slope and nothing further was heard or seen when they approached the spot.

While elk hunting with a relative, the witness reports the relative briefly saw a bigfoot down a side spur that was gone when they reversed to look. They then found grouse beds, piled feathers and a leg, plus one large track and a faint trail leading into the woods. The witness also noted an unusual odor and interpreted the sign as the creature hunting grouse.

The witness arrived by motorcycle to visit campers and noticed a dark bipedal figure moving on an open hillside below the treeline about 250 yards away in snow near dusk with fog. The figure was described as very tall and large, walking uphill toward timber with a long effortless stride and looking back several times without breaking stride before disappearing into the trees. The witness was bothered by the sighting for about a year before telling a relative decades later.

After hearing distant screams that seemed to shift position and prolonged branch-breaking around camp, the witness stayed awake listening while others slept. The witness heard heavy running and breathing pass the RV and noticed moonlight through the windows dim briefly, then later the companion's son fled his tent to the RV reporting tree-banging, movement, darkness at the tent, and a voice imitation. No one saw anything, and the next morning knocking elicited whistle replies from the woods.
