The witness walked with two companions past the camp at night toward a big tree with a cross structure after hearing a tree slap. Small trees flew as something charged like a freight train, and the witness stopped it with a green laser to its eyes. Under a floodlight they saw a huge black-haired standing creature blowing through its lips, which then left, and next-day measurements suggested about nine feet tall with large footprints.

The witness was on military leave camping with a large group and a spouse in a loud sleeping bag. In the middle of the first night they awoke to a very loud scream that began like a whoop then rose high. They lay listening for footfalls and heard nothing further.

The witness looked up and saw a black-furred head and shoulder pulling a small tree aside about five feet off the road. After locking eyes briefly the witness looked away and saw dark arm, leg and belly moving off on all fours, with nothing visible when passing the spot.

Years after the hunting incident but before moving away, the guest was sleeping in a tent on the family land. He felt and heard heavy running footsteps and breathing approach, then heard a splash as it jumped into the lake. He shone a flashlight, saw disturbed water with bubbles, and the swimmer never surfaced while he watched.

The guest, then a teenager, was hunting on family land after being warned to avoid a pine area. Hearing loud injured-deer-like screams, he walked toward them and saw a large upright creature holding a branch, breathing rapidly with puffing cheeks and twitchy eyes about 50-60 yards away. When he raised his rifle the creature fled rapidly, jumping a creek into a cedar swamp. Shaken, he detoured around a large cedar tree feeling intense fear, ran to the cabin, and later left the woods for two years.

At night after the woods went quiet, something heavy approached bipedally, roared, reached through pines shaking and pulling them, and lunged with huge hands. He knelt and put his shotgun in its midsection but did not fire when it backed off, then it screamed, circled the camp throwing trees, iron-ore rocks and dirt while they kept a bonfire burning until early morning.

Where a ditch filled with rainwater dried up, the witness repeatedly found large human-like footprints, sometimes partial and sometimes whole, around 14 to 15 inches long. She photographed one and a local veterinarian said bears had not been in the area since the 1950s.

He viewed it through his rifle scope, saw teeth, then walked toward the trail as it left on two legs, and it paralleled him back toward camp.

The witness and a cousin parked in a pasture at night and the witness made poor wolf howls as a joke. About thirty seconds later they heard a short very high-pitched powerful scream that they felt in the chest. They fled to the house, locked up, and armed themselves.
