Family on vacation find tracks in an isolated area.
On March 9, 1969, a group visiting a vacation property on Bear Creek found very large footprint-like depressions in deep snow. The tracks appeared to come from the campsite area and angle off toward the creek into trees, with a stride a tall adult could not match. The group left without further investigation, and the witness later notified the county sheriff, whose follow-up found additional tracks and produced casts.

After hearing scream-like sounds earlier in the evening, the witness lay awake and watched a tall figure move behind a windbreak, squat to rummage through a pack, then stand and walk away. The witness was sleeping in a cabin during a summer camp session when loud nighttime noises caused an uproar. A cabin-mate reportedly looked out and described multiple large, hairy, human-like figures near the water tower and cabins. The next morning the witness saw extensive human-like footprints, a large uprooted tree, and vegetation pulled from the lake. Campers were walked around the perimeter to view the traces and were sent home early.

The witness was taking part in a nighttime military training exercise in a forested area in 1966 and was returning alone to the company area around 3-4 a.m. He noticed the outline of a large upright figure coming down a steep sandy hill toward a logging road while hearing footsteps and shifting dirt. When he challenged the figure, it responded with a loud growl, and he ran to the campfire without hearing pursuit. He initially told others the pursuer was a bear but later concluded it had walked on two legs and was a bigfoot.

About 30 feet away a tall hairy figure stepped into full view from a clearing, took one long step, and disappeared behind a bush. The children ran home and were not believed.

Around the same time other children by a rock overhang shouted about seeing a big gorilla-like figure moving and walking away, which the adults dismissed.

On the descent the witness found very large bear-like tracks that appeared to have followed the ascent route and then joined the witness's trail. Frightened by the thought of being followed in winter conditions, the witness ran down the mountain and returned home without reporting the incident at the time.

The witness and a companion were driving on a wet highway after rain and came close to a creature in the road apparently eating frogs. When it noticed the car it stood upright and quickly left the road, climbing a steep rock wall without using its hands. The pair were frightened and drove quickly past the spot. From about 100-150 yards to the right, the witness heard several loud impacts described as long dry posts striking tree stumps. No loggers or campers were known to be in the area, and the witness found the sounds unlike anything previously heard in the woods.

Four people were quietly walking horses along a trail in rainy conditions when a black creature about eight feet tall stood up from a stooped position beside the trail and ran away, leaving a foul odor. The group did not look for footprints.

The guest saw a tall black individual walking from her window that seemed to vanish, saw it solid twice more, and walked close to another individual holding its arms across limbs to mimic a tree before backing away.

She found a decapitated bird placed on the trail, a rock on the stump, balanced rock stacks, and a small fence-like stick structure. She interpreted them as possible gifts in return.

The guest sneaked out of a neighbor's trailer at midnight to visit her brothers through the woods and had to walk back alone hearing steps and cracking behind her. As soon as she locked herself inside, something pushed and rocked the small trailer violently from side to side while the three girls screamed.

One night a very foul stench approached the house and was strong enough to make breathing difficult. The father moved the children to an interior wall, opened a window facing the horses with a shotgun, and said he would shoot the unknown visitor. The guest feared he would hit the horses.
