The witness and a relative camped overnight in a remote lean-to shelter in a forested ravine. After going to sleep, both were awakened by repeated knocking and pushing sensations against the shelter that continued intermittently until about 3 a.m. The witness checked outside with a flashlight but saw nothing, and a morning search found no damage or tracks, so they left without staying another night.

A couple driving home at dusk saw a tall dark two-legged figure appear directly in front of their car on M-156. The figure crossed the road extremely fast in a few steps and disappeared to the east, leaving them shaken and surprised they had not hit it. An oncoming car also stopped, but the couple never spoke with its occupant.

The witness was driving with a companion when they came upon an animal lying in the middle of the road and swerved to avoid it. The animal stood up on two feet, watched them as they drove around and away, and then left on foot bipedally. The witness described it as huge with white to grayish fur and later wondered if it could have been a Bigfoot.

They heard a single very loud splash and then quiet shuffling steps moving upstream in shallow water, with coyotes acting strangely and no visible source. Around 1995 the witness was checking cattle at night in a pasture near Cooper Lake. In the flashlight beam several yards away he saw a man-like, hair-covered animal judged to be about eight feet tall and noticed a urine-like odor. After a few seconds both the witness and the animal turned and fled in opposite directions with no sound heard from the animal.

While deer hunting from a boulder overlooking a clearing, the witness shot a standing figure three times in the back as it ran. It fell to its knees, got up and ran toward camp where his friend also shot. The next night several creatures surrounded the camp and the men fired nearly all ammunition before leaving in the morning.

The witness and relatives were spotlighting for coyotes from a pickup truck at night along a treeline. The light revealed eyeshine and a tall brown-haired biped with white patches on its chest and arm that remained in place for about five minutes. The animal then stepped over a fence into the woods and disappeared.

The witness rode as a passenger at night while the father drove north to visit family. A large upright creature propelled itself out of a ditch and crossed the two-lane highway in two strides. It paused briefly on the far side, stared at the vehicle, then disappeared into the dark ditch.

The teenage guest left home upset and sat alone in the middle of a dark street at the edge of fields. A possum ran toward him, then he heard a very loud deep growl that vibrated in his chest. He ran home and found much more time had passed than he perceived.

The guest was dropped off to hunt alone from a ground blind on a wooded mountaintop. He watched a large hair-covered biped for about 45 minutes as it struck trees with a rock and listened, pushed over a tree to extract a small mammal, killed and ate it, and dug with a stick. The animal later moved around the mountain, after which deer ran past and the frightened guest waited in a tree until his companion retrieved him.

Years later while working as a truck driver, the guest stopped at a truck stop south on Highway 97 and joined a convoy heading north. A female driver ahead radioed that she almost hit something, and the guest looked out his passenger window to see the back end of a hairy figure walking up a hill about 75 yards away.

Six teenagers parked by a blocked trail in Oak Openings late at night to socialize. After a quiet period they heard approaching crunching, loud branch breaking and a massive tree snap, followed by an extremely loud prolonged female-like scream. They all fled on foot back to the car and drove away, too frightened to return.
