In the rearview mirror he saw a large bipedal figure step into the road and place a hand on the trunk to steady itself. He then watched it cross the road and go down an embankment into the woods, seeing its wide shoulders, dark hair, and thin dog-like ears on a dome-shaped head.

The witness was parked at night with three companions by a large honeysuckle bush at the woods edge. After hearing branch-breaking sounds, a companion threw a vodka bottle into the bushes and it was thrown back past them into the road. They fled by car, had to move a large branch blocking the road while smelling a foul odor and hearing movement around them, then left and avoided the area.

While driving a truck on a dark resurfaced road, the driver saw something come from between a house and barn and angle across the headlights. It moved extremely fast on two legs, cleared the road in about two steps, then stopped at the road edge. He saw only a wide bulky body with long straggly grayish-reddish hair and no eye shine, and kept driving.

Years later the guest was deer hunting on a farm bordering public land. After shooting a buck and leaving to retrieve an ATV, he returned to find the carcass gone and dragged toward dense pines. He saw a very tall hairy figure and a long arm pulling the deer into the thicket while two other figures moved nearby and vocalized, so he fired a pistol and fled on the ATV.
