Two companions driving west at night on a desert highway saw a tall, thin figure covered in hanging hair jogging beside the road to their right. The view lasted less than ten seconds at about 20 to 30 feet, and no facial features were seen. Both occupants were frightened and drove on without stopping for proof.
Daylight sighting by a horseback rider, near a pond in Redwood National Park
The witness was horseback riding with friends and stopped for lunch when crashing was heard in the brush. The witness rode toward the noise to look for elk and watched a small hair-covered creature trying to drink from a pool about 30 feet away. The horse became agitated so the witness left to tell friends, who returned and heard movement and saw ferns moving as something left toward the larger creek. The witness believed the crashing was made by a larger animal accompanying the young creature.

The witness was walking uphill near Hunter Creek and climbing over a large fallen tree when they saw an entity stooped behind another fallen trunk about 30 feet away watching them. After a few seconds of staring, the entity turned and disappeared behind the tree. The witness then found several prints in the forest debris and followed them uphill briefly before losing them.

The witness was deer hunting alone before sunrise in early October and crossed a clearing to a bank with patches of snow. There they found two partial large human-like footprints in fresh snow, a heel about 8 inches wide and a forefoot with five large toes about six feet away, with recently disturbed shale below the bank. Looking into thick timber about 100 yards below, the witness felt strongly watched and left without seeing, hearing, or smelling anything.

The witness was hiking with a companion in a pine forest and stopped for a break near a rocky outcropping above a ravine. From about 150 feet above, the witness watched a dark brown, upright, hair-covered figure moving slowly through heavy brush below. When the witness shouted to the companion, the figure looked up showing a human-like face, then left quickly through the brush before the companion could see it.
Residents Awakened by Early Morning Vocalizations
The witness was woken by their mother after she heard a strange noise outside their Burney apartment. The witness waited on the porch and heard a very loud, guttural sequence of chirps and a scream, and noticed a pungent odor worse than skunk. No source was seen during a search, but the next morning a next-door neighbor said someone had been outside her elevated back window overnight.

The witness was running alone across a remote talus slope in Yosemite National Park. He found pits where large angular granite blocks had been lifted out and stacked in neat piles several feet high. Late at night the witness and a companion were driving north on Highway 70 when headlights revealed a large animal on all fours standing in the travel lane. The witness swerved into the other lane to avoid hitting it during a few seconds of viewing. The animal was described as horse-sized with dark medium-length fur, long legs, and a flat human-like face without a snout, lowering its head to peer into the passenger window as they passed.

Two companions camping overnight were awakened by movement on rocks above camp. They listened for about 15 minutes, then watched a bipedal form cross a stream and meadow into the treeline about 200 yards away. After daylight they found a large gouge in soft earth and flattened grass, then left the area.

Around midnight he woke to heavy footsteps stopping outside the tent and, peeking through the mesh with a flashlight, saw the huge hairy muscular human-like legs of a very tall biped standing a few feet away. After a minute or two the individual walked away, and the witness moved the children to the car and left the campsite early, leaving some gear behind.

The witness fled down the mountain and left the area after daylight.

Three people were fishing at night at a pool on a river near a bridge when they saw a frightened coyote run past and heard splashes. A large dark figure standing waist-deep in the river about 40 yards away then threw boulders toward them, with the closest landing a few yards away and splashing water on them. The group shouted, reeled in their lines, and fled through trees and a field to their car. They returned the next day and judged the water depth and boulders inconsistent with a person.
