Minutes later while getting binoculars from his truck, he heard a low gruff voice-like sound resembling "Hey You" from close range, then returned to the blind.

His dogs froze with raised hackles staring downhill, then pigs and possible raccoons were heard moving up a valley, followed by distant dogs barking uphill as if something moved away quickly.

Investigators visited the ranch and found a grove of small trees twisted, including one twisted opposite the others. They also found large human-like tracks near a creek, some very long and wide. Overnight recording equipment left out captured what sounded like an infant crying in cold conditions where no infant should be.

While squatted looking for sign, the witness heard a close guttural sound, drew a pistol, felt heavy footsteps, and saw a very large biped run about 20 yards through brush before dropping to all fours and crashing away. The witness found no tracks due to soil conditions, backed out to the truck, and drove away watching for pursuit.
