He raised his rifle, the creature leaped about 20 feet, ran on all fours at extreme speed and vanished into a narrow thicket, after which he backed out deeply shaken.

On another weekend the witness was leaning back on a four-wheeler with a rifle across his lap near the ravine edge when he heard close rock clacking ahead. Then from about fifty feet behind him in the forest came an extremely loud escalating bark-growl-roar that shook the vehicle and his body. A younger companion walking the ravine edge within fifty yards reportedly did not hear it at all.

At a wooded camp by a creek after a noisy child and family had left, three campers heard what sounded like a child crying in the woods and later heard noises around camp. One camper drove around but saw nothing. The next morning the witness and companion found a footprint.

At age 12 or 13 while exploring alone along a cliff top, the witness heard low grunts and rocks rolling below. Looking over the edge, he saw a very large hair-covered creature crouched on two legs overturning large rocks with its arms and hands. Startled, he ran back to his group.

While filming in Nebraska with three others making a hair trap, the guest felt an uncomfortable electrical-like energy in the woods. On editing he found a recorded voice he presents as Native American speech about shedding hair and grease, plus a distant hey-like yell heard at the time. A year after Colorado, the guest was rifle hunting elk with his father and twelve others in the Frank Church Wilderness. One early morning he heard a moose-like grunt, saw a large brown creature approaching about 210 yards away, and fired two rifle shots, believing he hit its shoulder and back. The group found droplets of blood and high blood spray on aspens but, after two days searching, never recovered the animal.

The witness stopped a truck on the highway in early morning to let a small dog out. The dog stared up a tree where a large monkey-like creature crouched, then a much larger creature carrying a wild hog emerged. Both creatures screamed at the witness, the female left toward a chirping sound, and the larger male approached, displayed the hog, then let the witness back away to the truck and drive off.

The witness was working alone overnight operating noisy machinery at a mountain job site in the rain. He heard impacts on a metal container, then saw a dark upright figure by the trees that crept toward him as rocks were thrown. He fled to his car, struggled to open a locked gate, then faced a much larger red-eyed figure that snapped a branch, vocalized loudly, and bluff-charged. He escaped in his car with damage to the vehicle.

During a late-August stay, the witness heard dog-like barking that shifted into loud bellowing and back-and-forth arguing voices, including a low male tone and higher voice. On a subsequent evening the same exchange recurred and included clear help me phrases that the witness felt were non-human mimicry.
