The witness was walking back toward his vehicle along the creek after using predator calls when he heard a loud wood knock and heard footsteps paralleling him. He glimpsed a large upright figure slipping behind a tree, then caught its face and upper body in his spotlight from about 40 yards for about two seconds before it pulled back behind the tree. He retreated through brush, crossed the creek, and hurried back to his vehicle while on the phone with a friend.

A few days after foggy nights the witness saw an oval object with a pulsing white light rather than blinking aircraft lights. The witness was driving with family on the interstate in the early evening before dark. He looked across the opposite lanes and noticed a tall dark bipedal figure near the tree line, then watched it turn and walk into the woods. The family members in the vehicle did not see it. He later described the figure as tall, dark, lean yet muscular, with low-hanging arms and fluid movement.

A couple sitting at a picnic table beside a small pond noticed leaves fluttering with no wind and then saw a very large dark figure about 30 yards away in the treeline swaying back and forth. The wife described a gorilla-like face while her husband focused on the immense body size. After briefly watching them, the figure stepped back into the shadows and disappeared silently.

The witness was driving with a relative on Rt 66 toward Delmont late at night. The relative spotted a dark figure walking upright on two legs up a steep, snow-covered hillside behind an RV sales lot toward the tree line. The witness also glimpsed the figure, noting its large size, broad shoulders, and ease of movement uphill in snow without using its arms. They did not stop to look for tracks and reported the incident to seek an explanation.

The witness was driving home at night when, after glancing away from an oncoming car's high beams, they saw the lower part of a large dark long-haired figure. Only two very large legs with extremely large feet were visible in the headlights as it took three steps across the road and a fourth step up the roadside bank. The witness briefly stopped to look for tracks from the car, then left feeling frightened.

A hunter walking a dense tunnel-like trail to place salt blocks exited into an open area and saw two large upright creatures about 25 yards away moving away toward the tree line. He watched the first in detail from the side and rear and glimpsed the second's back through trees, hearing footsteps in the grass but no vocalizations or odor. He then discarded the salt block, escorted his wife and child back to their vehicle, and left the area.

The witness camped overnight in a remote meadow in northern Pennsylvania with two companions for field research. After a brief glimpse of something moving through camp, the group heard heavy circling footsteps at night, found campfire logs moved and the fire relit, and saw a shape run up the hillside. Frightened, they called other investigators for support, stayed awake until morning, then left quickly and the witness avoided the woods for months.

The guest was riding ATVs with a friend in the Allegheny National Forest and pulled off the trail to wait. While stopped, rocks began hitting his ATV and he looked toward the treeline. A large black hair-covered biped rose from a crouch and stared at him for about 15 seconds before stepping back into the woods, after which he fled on his ATV.

The witness was driving west on a highway in the afternoon when he noticed a stationary stocky figure covered in reddish long hair standing beyond a fallow field in front of woods. He saw only the upper body and head for about three seconds before a bank and foliage blocked the view. His companion was asleep and saw nothing, and he was unable to stop or return to the location.

Late at night in December 2007 the witness was in her living room when she noticed a pair of large red glowing eyes looking in over the top of the lowered blinds. She watched for several minutes as the eyes looked directly at her and blinked, then the head turned and the figure left the window. When he reached for his shotgun the figure slipped back between the trees and disappeared silently, and he later estimated its height at about nine feet by holding up his gun to a branch.

The witness was turning a dump truck and spreading stone on a remote camp road when he noticed an animal on a stone pile that stood on two legs and then vanished. After adjusting his chains and driving forward, he saw two upright, hairy animals pacing the truck in his mirror, with the larger one estimated at eight to nine feet tall. He was frightened and left the area quickly. He also noted a feeling of being watched and a nasty smell earlier while outside the truck.

Three companions were driving at night to spotlight deer and stopped to watch a close owl with the windows down. They noticed a strong foul odor and watched the owl fly away. As they prepared to move, an entity crossed the road from the hill edge to the embankment top, with only its large hairy legs visible in dim headlights. They left quickly and had not returned.

The witness was driving on a back road at night with three companions when a light-brown figure crossed the road in front of the car and entered the woods. Only the witness and the front-seat companion saw the mid- and lower torso and legs moving with fast, person-like strides. The driver slowed with intent to stop but kept driving after the back-seat passengers asked not to stop.

Four people hiking to a stream to fish heard a scream/moan and then saw a non-human, almost human-like head peering from behind a tree. The creature stared for about 30 seconds before running away very quickly. The witnesses estimated it was 5 to 6 feet tall and fairly large.
Late night road crossing near Apollo
The witness was driving home late at night when a large manlike entity crossed the two-lane road in front of the vehicle in a few fast, smooth steps and disappeared into trees on the far side. The witness stopped, noting no other vehicles or people around, and heard it crashing through brush. The next morning the witness found a path of broken brush and trampled grass where it had crossed but no tracks.

The witness was working with a pipeline crew exposing a remote valve site over three days. On the first day a coworker reported a dark figure walking on the cleared right-of-way up the ridge. The next day the witness hiked up the same ridge alone, heard two loud ground-shaking stomps followed by a very loud guttural vocalization, and fled downhill. The following morning the soiled sock the witness had discarded on the ridge was found placed on the backhoe track at the job site below.
