The witness and a companion were walking home from school along an overgrown logging road when the witness stopped while the companion kept walking. The witness sensed someone behind, turned, and saw a red-haired, broad-chested figure standing in a ditch a few feet away. The witness ran past the companion and both ran home without being chased.
Large hairy creature and footprints seen along fence line on property with past activity
The witness visited a friend's farm after loaning a truck and found a very large footprint in mud, attempting a plaster cast. Later he saw a dark figure bobbing while holding a tree limb across a field, then saw a hairy long hand touching the plaster. The friend confirmed seeing the distant figure and the friend's wife reported hearing breathing near a shed, followed by rustling and barefoot sounds.

The witness was sleeping alone in a tent on a group camping trip when a strong odor woke them. A large hairy arm reached in through the tent flap, felt around, then withdrew. The witness then perceived two tall figures outside through the tent fabric and heard male and female vocalizations as the beings yelled and ran away.
Sighting by campers
The witness group was camping near Mills Creek in the morning when their two dogs rushed into the shelter acting frightened and staring toward a spruce grove. After keeping watch, the group briefly saw a dark upright shape moving away through bushes and about half an hour later heard repetitive grunting from a distance. The group did not investigate and left the area cautiously.

In summer 1983 a camp leader took an assistant and nine boys on an overnight hike on Tet Ridge. During the afternoon hike they repeatedly glimpsed a large black figure at a distance and found very large tracks and broken branches high above the ground. That night at a near-summit camp the group heard multiple loud roars and stayed awake by the fire, also hearing movement below. They found no further sign on the hike out and agreed not to tell others.

The witness and a companion were sitting in a parked car at night near a creek when wildlife sounds stopped and bipedal footsteps approached. The witness attempted to drive away and briefly saw a broad-shouldered brownish-black animal moving on two legs into the creek. The pair left to get help and later returned with others.

The witness and three companions entered unfamiliar woods to look for mistletoe and walked east along a logging road. Agitated cattle and a bull staring toward a large tree drew their attention, and they saw a very large bipedal creature covered in light brown hair leaning from behind the tree. The group shouted and ran about 300 yards south out of the woods and did not return there.

After dark, rocks were repeatedly thrown hard and accurately at the group, continuing through the night until dawn and frightening many campers.
