As a teenager training for a 10K, the witness went for a late-night run on a rural road lined with corn and bean fields. Something in the corn paced him, stopping when he stopped and sprinting when he sprinted, staying silent except for rustling stalks. Near the end of his route he glanced back and saw a tall, dark-furred, dog-headed biped with a muscular chest and long arms emerge from the corn and look at him. He sprinted across a busy highway to a friend's house, jumped the pool fence, and hid underwater until he felt safe.
Sasquatch sighting in Maine (1985)
While jogging on a wooded dirt trail in the evening, the witness came around a bend and saw a huge reddish-brown shaggy animal standing in marsh water about 20 yards away. The animal was bent over with its back to him, digging into the bank with both hands and flinging mud behind it. Realizing it was not a bear or moose, the witness ran home terrified and returned once the next day before avoiding the spot.

The witness remained alone in a tent at a Boy Scout camp while the rest of the troop was away. After hearing a troop mate shout, the witness left the tent and saw a large brown bipedal figure flash past and run up a brush-covered incline with great speed. The figure paused at the crest to look back before disappearing when the boys entered the brush.

The witness was sleeping alone in the family home when they awoke suddenly in the early morning and saw a dark head-shaped outline at the bedroom window, apparently peering inside. The figure immediately fled off the deck and ran around the house into the woods behind, moving very fast and making loud crashing noises. The witness was frightened and spent subsequent nights at a relative's house nearby.

The witness was walking back from a grassy field off an old road when they felt watched and smelled a strong odor like body odor and wet dog. They then glimpsed something out of the corner of their eye moving parallel to the road through dense woods. They described it as larger and faster than a bear and noisy while moving, and they left quickly without checking for tracks.

Four bowhunters bugling for elk heard a powerful howl they said was not an elk and was not made by their own party. As the sounds drew closer, one member of the party saw a dark brown flash of fur in the trees but could not identify it. The group then drove out of the area and did not return to hunt.
Campers observed by unknown animal
The witness and two companions were camped by a remote lake after dusk when they noticed amber eyes in the woods up the hill. After rocks were thrown, the animal stood and moved toward them on two legs, then circled their camp for about three hours while staying outside the firelight. The witness described it as 7 to 8 feet tall, agile on two legs, and curious rather than aggressive, and it left after fuel thrown on the fire made a flare. No tracks or other sign were found the next morning.

In 1984 two teenage companions were hanging out near a river swimming area under a bridge before dusk when they both noticed a tall, dark, hair-covered human-like figure running between trees on the far side of the river. The figure moved fast with human-like motion, slightly stooped, glanced at them while running, and quickly disappeared. Both fled home and told the witness's parents, who did not believe them.

The witness was camping by a river when a foul odor woke him in the middle of the night. He turned on a flashlight and heard something moving through nearby palms. He briefly saw the upper back and head of a large dark-haired animal as it ran away.

The witness and a companion were sleeping in their truck at a forest camp late at night when a large bipedal shape walked past and went to trash bags hung high in a tree. The shape reached up, carried one bag into the woods where tearing and eating sounds were heard, then returned about half an hour later to take a second bag. The pair remained in the truck, then packed up and left to spend the rest of the night elsewhere.

In summer 1984 the witness was watching television at home late in the evening with a window open when grunting sounds approached the house. The witness looked and saw a large dark upright figure pass by while neighborhood dogs became agitated and a foul skunk-like odor was present. The witness judged the figure too large to be a man and moving unlike a bear.

Late on a bright-moon winter night after the house had been quiet, a thunderous bang shook the wall. The guest looked up and saw a dog-like face with a white toothy grin and yellow eyes looking down through the upper pane, nose pressed to glass. After staring, it slid toward the open window above his head making a squeak on glass, banged the wall again, and the guest fled to the living room couch. He avoided the room, kept curtains closed, and the family moved that spring.

At age twelve on a family road trip, the witness stepped half-asleep out of the truck camper after midnight to relieve himself. A large dark figure sat on its haunches on the path to the river about twenty to thirty feet away, backlit by the moon. After a frozen stare the witness shut the door, heard distinct bipedal footsteps, then a fist-sized rock and a freshly ripped branch struck the camper.
Scream in Utah (1984)
The witness, then about 12, was deer hunting with his father, brother and uncles at a mountain camp. Over several nights a loud screaming vocalization was heard around 9 p.m. and the uncles repeatedly chased the source uphill. One uncle confronted a very tall hair-covered biped at close range and fired over its head, while later nights brought a spotlight glimpse of a large dark mass, a small 4-foot figure, answering calls from another ridge, uprooted trees and reddish hair tufts, before the activity moved away.

In early fall 1996 the witness stopped to pick mushrooms near the Satsop River after checking leases. While kneeling with the dog close by, the witness smelled a strong putrid odor, stood up, and saw a large dark hairy creature standing in a fern patch about 200 feet away. They made eye contact, the creature turned its head and torso showing long arm hair, then walked quickly away. The witness left the area and told no one for a couple days.

The witness was hunting alone in a forested creek bottom when a bedded deer flushed into tall reeds. From higher ground above the reeds he saw a tall dark mottled figure moving upright across the creek about 50 yards away. The figure turned to look at him, showing a hump on its back, then pushed swiftly through dense vegetation without dodging. The witness left the area and later confirmed no other hunters or vehicles were nearby.

The witness was hunting deer alone in the morning when he entered a brushy opening on a hilltop and noticed a tall black furry human-like figure about 40 feet away with its back turned. The figure was breaking and twisting branches from small trees while moving its upper body. After watching briefly and deciding it was neither a bear nor a human, the witness left the area quickly and ended the hunt.

The witness was deer hunting from a ridge overlooking a cedar swamp when he noticed a black head repeatedly appearing above 6-7 foot tall cedars at a distance. The head was visible intermittently for 10 to 15 minutes, moving as if foraging, while the surrounding woods were unusually quiet. He first thought it was a bear but concluded it was something else because of its height, head shape and sustained upright posture, leaving when it grew dark.

Two companions camped in a remote wooded area after clearing a small site and lighting a fire. For several hours something circled the camp a few yards away, producing walking and breathing sounds and a musky odor. One companion glimpsed the figure in firelight as a much taller and wider upright figure, and it followed them out and crossed a road in a few steps as they left.
