Two young backpackers camped at a cliff overlook in the fall and noticed a small blue light in the trees below. The orb drifted aimlessly among trunks, illuminating branches and ground, staying a few feet off the ground for many minutes. The witness declined a companion's suggestion to go closer and the light eventually drifted away.

The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand in early morning mist when a strong musky odor hit. A dark shape circled at about 75 yards for several minutes, moving heavily through leaves and sounding bipedal, before running off. The witness drove with a companion to a turnaround at the end of a rough logging road through pine woods to talk. After getting out of the car, the witness heard loud bipedal footsteps approaching and then watched a huge human-like figure move through the trees for about ten seconds. The figure stopped about twenty yards away and looked over the treetops before the witness fled in the car. The witness returned with a relative the next day and reported the trees were nine to ten feet tall, with the head just above that level.

After feeling uneasy in young fir trees and hearing a loud snap near a brush pile, they noticed something pacing them in brush. About 100 yards from the paved road they saw the head and shoulders of a seven-foot dark silhouette between poplar trees at sunset; it shifted its weight, confirming it was solid, and they retreated to the road.

The witness returned from fetching snacks to a foul odor and a feeling of being watched. The witness saw something crouched in a tree with a leg hanging and later a head watching from behind a shooting target, then heard the loud bark-like vocalization. The group fled and later found fire, shredded supplies, flattened vegetation and hair.

The witness describes riding horses with a friend for several days and stopping at a spring. He walked to a cliff after smelling a strong odor and saw a huge hairy human-like figure. He spoke to it, heard it grunt and growl, heard a distant whoop and a loud tongue-pop like a wood knock, then watched it climb the cliff with its arms and disappear.

Five teenagers were skateboarding and staying overnight at a half-pipe ramp they built in woods near a swamp. After smelling a rancid odor all day and seeing glimpses, at night in candlelight one witness came face to face at five to six feet with a 7-8 foot tall hairy creature that made a loud robotic ARK bark. They all fled up a hill while it chased and vocalized, later finding the ramp burned from a knocked candle and snacks shredded.

They went to a coastal overlook where five then nine lights maneuvered erratically and pulsed colors. In early July 1988 the witness was alone at a summer camp when rustling and screams were heard from a rocky ledge above and a white upright figure was glimpsed moving behind trees. Two companions ran down the hill saying they had encountered a large white humanoid ape-like creature with long arms on a trail that screamed and fled after eye contact. The companions were shaken for hours but later denied the incident, and the witness remains uncertain whether it was a costumed person or a real creature.

Two companions on a hiking and camping trip followed grunting and rock-crashing sounds along a remote game trail. Through dense woods they saw bulky upright figures, first taken for a standing bear but judged to be something unfamiliar with a large upper body and no visible neck. When they returned to the spot the figures were gone, leaving stacked large rocks, broken branches and a powerful dung-like smell, after which they left the area.

The witness and a companion were inside the home at a table when they heard a noise at a window. A figure appeared at another window very close to the witness's face and remained for a couple minutes before walking away to the east. A relative who arrived later found footprints behind the house.
