Around 2:30 a.m. on a clear night, the witness was walking home along a road paralleling a river when a strong bad odor and a loud splash drew attention to the water. About 60 feet away, a large, broad-shouldered, dark, long-haired figure stood upright in the river and appeared to be fishing, moving, splashing, and pausing to look around. The witness watched for several minutes while continuing down the road before leaving the area.

The witness was driving home from a night shift around 3 a.m. in falling snow when they noticed a white figure in the road that first resembled a large goat. As they approached, the figure stood upright in the middle of the road, appearing taller than the car, muscular and covered in dirty white-gray hair, then froze as the vehicle passed. When the witness checked the mirrors immediately after passing, the figure was gone.

The witness was driving home at night on a back road and saw a tall, black-haired figure standing by a utility pole facing the woods. The witness slowed for a closer look, noting broad shoulders, pointed head hair, and hairless hands, and estimated the height at 7 to 8 feet. The figure briefly made eye contact before looking back toward the woods, and the witness then drove away quickly.

Grabbing a handgun, the witness ran around the house and saw a furry massive figure moving through bushes. A running chase followed across fences, a ravine, garden and barn path to a creek and hill, where the figure pulled away uphill and vanished.

While laid up at about 11pm the witness heard a low growl that vibrated dual-pane windows and saw a young deer twitching near fir trees with a large neckless outline standing about 40 feet behind it. A car door sound stopped the episode, and next morning he found large partial tracks across a 12-foot creek with an injured left foot and later measured over 19 inches.

As the engine faded they stood up and two huge black hairy animals on all fours charged past very close and veered away. He switched on bright boat headlights and saw a very large, dark, hairy ape- and human-like figure at the tree line about 20 to 30 feet away that looked shocked and tried to hide behind a cottonwood. The witness panicked, pulled anchor and fled, later revisiting to estimate the figure was at least a foot to a foot and a half taller than himself with massive girth.

As light faded they walked back toward their car, sensing something pacing them unseen and stopping when they stopped. After reaching the dam road in darkness, the witness saw one large dark form and two smaller forms move around the spillway and up a hill, then heard them make repeated guttural, sentence-like sounds in response to a shout before disappearing over the ridge.

After midnight the witness, sleeping in a cabin bedroom, was awakened by vibration and the sense of someone walking on the porch. Looking toward the porch light through a window about twenty feet away, the witness watched a hair-covered figure with its back turned, which then turned, looked toward the window and leaned to peer inside before jumping off the six- to eight-foot-high porch. The witness kept watching in fear and did not tell others or search for traces in the morning.

The witness was driving eastbound at night and slowed to watch for deer. In the headlights the witness noticed eyeshine and then the upper part of a large dark creature standing motionless behind a steep bank. The creature had broad shoulders, long arms held out with bent elbows and hanging hair, a huge flat face, and a slight sulfurous odor was noted. The witness returned about ten days later and found scuff marks on the bank.

Animal control and the sheriff's department investigated and warned residents not to approach the animal.
