Dusk sighting by a couple near a spring outside Omak
Two people driving while hunting at sunset saw a large hairy man-like figure running along the road about 30 to 40 yards away. The sighting lasted only a few seconds before the figure disappeared toward a ridge. The driver stopped, got out to search, heard no sound of flight and found no tracks on the hard sandy road.

The witness and companion were driving north at night when they saw a tall, silvery-white bipedal figure running south along the woods edge, then turning east into dense woods about fifteen feet away during a roughly three-second view. The figure was described as slender and athletic, about seven feet tall, with flowing hair on the arms and fast, graceful movement. The next morning they found 20 to 30 tracks of two sizes with visible toes in soft muddy ground nearby, but no photos were taken and rain likely washed the tracks away.

The witness was driving with a relative on an unpaved road toward a trailhead in late morning. From about 50 yards away the witness saw a large brown furry animal in the road lunge into dense woods. The witness reached the spot within seconds but found nothing in the clearing and woods beyond. The witness concluded the light color, large size, and quick disappearance did not fit a moose or bear.

The witness states they were checking corn left for deer along a gas well road with a companion. They turned toward their truck and saw a tall, hairy creature standing by a tree about 30 feet off the road, pushing a branch away from its face to watch them. After staring briefly, the witness told the companion to get in the truck.

In early April 2006 around 2:30 a.m., the witness was inside his trailer when he saw a hairy figure staring through a nearby window. When he tried to shut his front door, something held it open against his push. He retreated, armed himself and woke his wife, but the figure was gone and only muddy fingerprints remained on the window.

Two companions on an early-morning turkey hunt first heard a limb snap and saw a large dark animal walking away. About half an hour later while calling from a ground blind, the woods went quiet and a short siren-like scream came from behind them. They then saw a large dark furry animal running away through small trees, pushing them aside, and they left the area.

In spring 2006 the witness was touring a large ranch in a converted school bus with county review staff. While the bus slowed for hogs, the witness looked across a flooded pasture and saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal figure standing on a small rise about 125 to 150 yards away. The figure was visible for a few seconds before vegetation blocked the view, turning its upper body toward the bus as it passed while apparently holding something in its arms.

The witness was driving home from work in the early morning when a large upright shape appeared in the opposite lane. Slowing for what was thought to be a deer, the witness realized at close range it was very tall, man-like with arms, and covered in light-colored hair. As the van passed, the creature appeared to lunge toward the vehicle with its shoulders above the van roof, and the witness sped away frightened.
Possible nighttime sighting while driving over a bridge near Charlemont
The witness claims that while driving to work late at night in light rain, he saw a tall hair-covered figure standing motionless behind a guardrail near a bridge. He turned around to look again, but it was gone. He states he drives the route regularly and was certain the figure did not belong there.

After dark the witness went down to a lake dock to remove a battery charger from a bass boat and shined a spotlight across the cove. He noticed a tall dark figure in 6 to 7 foot grass, whistled at it and heard a different whistle returned. When he looked back the figure was moving away through the weeds, and he ran back to the house.

During an overnight stakeout on a remote gravel road, the witness heard eyeshine pairs, shaking sounds and motion-detector triggers. A shape dashed across the road in shadow, showing only gray fur along a vertical spine. It briefly blocked a reflective sign that later measured to require about seven feet of height.

A Special Forces team training at Fort Lewis set up a patrol base and were repeatedly approached at night by unseen figures. They tracked larger barefoot prints, smelled rotten flesh and wet dog, and found a clearing with flattened brush and broken limbs high in trees. They withdrew to a road and flagged a truck for a ride, believing they had entered Sasquatch territory.

The witness was hiking alone on a section of the Appalachian Trail when footsteps began pacing him from off-trail to his left. He glimpsed a dark figure and then rocks began flying past him, prompting him to jog and then sprint toward a road. The pursuer kept pace while breaking saplings and trees before stopping near the road, after which the witness calmed down and returned to his car.

The witness, age 16, snuck out at night to meet his girlfriend halfway along a dark rural road. He saw a large hairy figure standing by the roadside and ran past it. The figure stayed still until he got close, then crashed away into dense woods.

The witness had recently moved to Washington and went to the Nisqually River with a parent to fish. While the parent fished in the river, the witness sat on a rocky bank and heard repeated movement in brush behind. Looking back, the witness saw foliage moving as if breathing and then a large eye with a reddened white. The witness shouted to leave and they hiked back to the vehicle; the shape was gone when they looked back and the parent had not seen it.
Early morning sighting by resident along Highway 7 near Bismarck
On a clear cool morning the witness stood on his property after hearing dogs bark and watched a large dark hairy animal moving east along a fence row about 50 yards away. He saw only the upper body in left-side view for 2-3 seconds as it trotted briskly without bobbing, comparing its size to a very tall heavy man. He later searched for tracks but found none because the ground was too brushy.
Late afternoon sighting in the Pine Barrens
The witness and a companion stopped while driving on a dirt trail when the companion saw a tall brown figure cross the road. The witness got out to check and reported seeing a black-faced, ape-like animal with sandy-brown hair peering from brush about 25 feet away. After a few seconds it stood fully upright and ran bipedally into the pines, and the pair later heard bipedal running approaching the car before leaving.

While solo backpacking on the summit, the witness noticed a strange shape on the ridge across from him and photographed it. The shape then stood up and moved south away from the witness and down the hill out of sight. The witness struggled to move in waist-deep snow while the figure appeared to move easily, and the witness did not believe it was another backpacker or snowshoer.
Two young men almost run into a large nighttime visitor north of Stockton Lake
Two young men were burning trash and playing harmonicas at a house when they started to race toward a barn. After a few steps they saw a very tall, broad figure that stopped and looked toward them, which startled them so they ran back inside the house. Soon after they heard banging sounds described like rocks being thrown at the house, but found no one outside when they checked.
Backyard nighttime sighting in a village outside Rome
The witness and her mother heard a whistle around 2 a.m. and went outside to check. From near their elevated pool deck, they shone a flashlight on an unknown figure with red eyes positioned just above deck level. The figure moved its head to avoid the light, then walked away while repeatedly looking back and briefly peeking from behind a neighbor's shed.
