Sasquatch sighting in California (1985)
The witness and a friend hiked into high meadows and noticed an unusually tall figure at a distance. At dusk on the way out they saw movement pacing in front of bushes and approached while calling out. Between two overlapping bushes they saw two upright hair-covered beings facing them in defensive postures. They backed away out of sight, then ran down the trail to their motorcycle and drove out.

After watching for about one to two minutes, they turned and ran back to camp without seeing what it did. Poorly defined pushed-in depressions were later noticed in soft gravel and sand in the general area.

Two companions were riding horses south alongside railroad tracks when they noticed a foul odor, breaking branches, restless horses, and the sound of movement on the track rocks. They then saw a single slim, reddish-brown hair-covered figure standing in a partial crouch in the middle of the tracks about 150 yards away, watching them. After the group watched it move toward the ocean, someone shouted Bigfoot, at which point it stood upright, looked at the group briefly, then walked back into the forest. The witness was walking home through woods at dusk when a very large, completely hairy human-like figure was seen a few feet away in dense vegetation parallel to the trail. As the witness ran toward home, the figure ran alongside in the brush making deep grunt and roar-like sounds. The figure stopped and stayed crouched in cover at the edge of an open field while the witness continued home and reported what happened to a parent.

The witness was driving home in the early morning hours when she came around a curve and saw a tall, dark-furred upright figure by the roadside that appeared to have just crossed from the river side. The figure watched her as she drove past, walking unhurriedly, and she continued without stopping while her companions slept. She described it as very tall with matted dark fur covering its body, mostly upright with a slight slouch.
